I shot a B-17 that is visiting the Atlanta area on a tour around the country today. Its stationed out of Briscoe Field at the Gwinnett Airport till Sunday. I shot some video and made a cross between a slideshow and a video that you can see in the post below.
A few of us got to go up in the plane for about 15 to 20 minutes and I also met this guy who was a WWII vet who had been a pilot for B-17 like the one we were in. After I heard it was going to be his first time flying in one of these planes in 50 years or so I decided I should try to focus my pictures around him since that seemed like the most compelling story.

Nice use of light. Wish I could have been there. My PawPaw was a ball turret gunny in a B-17 back in the war. I grew up hearing stories about it, I’ve always wanted to go for a ride in one.
