Last night was the final game of the regular season for the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech. The two always end their season with a home and home series against each other in a rivalry known as “Clean Old Fashioned Hate.”
Last year Tech shocked Georgia under first year head coach Paul Johnson and ended a 7 year losing streak to the Dawgs. This year, with a week off and home field advantage, Tech expected to roll again, as did most of the country probably. Instead, Georgia took the lead early and never trailed.
With the clock counting down and Georgia Tech in possession and only down 6 points, it looked like Tech would make a comeback and win. Georgia’s secondary, much maligned for most of the season, held and prevented 3 straight pass attempts. On fourth and 10, Tech quarterback Josh Nesbitt saw a wide open Demaryius Thomas on the sideline, but Thomas was unable to hold on and watched the ball (and Tech’s hopes) fall to the ground. Georgia wins. Go Dawgs!

Great photos, Josh! I particularly like the one of Harry Dog and and the Yellow Jacket.
I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know squat about photography. But you don’t have to be a chicken to know an egg. These shots are fabulous. Great work!
Great shots, Josh. Makes me miss shooting from the sideline :( Gooo DAWGS!
Very good work! The players themselves probably did not see it as vivid as what you caught. Enjoyed it.
