Saturday night I shot the SEC Championship game between the Florida Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta for the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.
I think it went pretty well despite being pretty tired from volunteering at the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, but luckily I’ve had plenty of experience shooting games tired lately so all things considered I think it went pretty well.

ROLL TIDE, PICTURES LIKE THESE NEED NO EXPLANATION. JAN. 7TH HERE WE COME
This are great pictures! I am so proud of Alabama and it is a very sentimental to me as Alabama heads for the Rose Bowl. My Dad, V. Hugo Marx, Jr. passed away on Valentine’s Day. He was Manager of the 1934 Alabama Rose Bowl team against Stanford. The team Paul Bryant played on. He would have loved to see them again in Pasadena so it is bittersweet
Y.ea BAMA! Love the pictures. Thanks
WAY TO GO, BAMA!!!!!!
To say that I am an Alabama Fan would be an understatement. I join all the Alabama Cheerleaders from the ’60’s that I travelled with to all those unforgettable games with Coach Bryant in saying a resounding ROLL TIDE! We’re definitely back!
From the eyes of a Bama fan….WOW
From the eyes of a photographer…..WOW
Beautiful photos of a fantastic game!!
Have been a Bama fan since the early days of Bear Bryant. We finally have another great coach and great players. Roll Tide these pictures are outstanding.
We just moved to Texas and having been an Alabama fan all of my life it is great to tell the Texan I am from BAMA and these pictures say it better than I can,I must share with the less fortunate burnt orange fans. ROLLTIDE. The program, the Pride and the Attitude is BACK. Thanks Mr. Saban
Great photos great win wonderful win Roll tide roll
The photographs are absolutely magnificent. You have a great eye and a talent for selecting the decisive moment. As an Alabama fan, these in my email mailbox were like manna from heaven.
As for the captions, the ones for the band should read, “Million Dollar Band” not merely “marching band.” Like the football team, the Million Dollar Band has also always represented the University of Alabama by consistently being the absolute best at what they do.
great pictures. It was like you were there.
