On Monday I shot the final game of the Orlando Magic vs. Atlanta Hawks second round playoff series. The game, as was the series, was a let down. The Hawks never really had a chance and ended up getting swept. There wasn’t much celebration or dejection as I think most of the players saw it as inevitable after their dismal performances over the prior three games.
Also, because so many media outlets were covering the game, US Presswire was relegated to the middle area of the arena to shoot from, instead of the normal baseline seats. Luckily, I’d been warned ahead of time about this and brought my 400mm lens so I was still able to get reasonably close to the action. That said, I prefer shooting from the baseline and like those photos better than the ones I got.
