I bought a new camera last week that I can use for travel photography. The Sony A6000 is maybe 1/3 to 1/4 the size of my Canon 5DmIII. Obviously there are trade offs between the two. The smaller size means smaller battery with smaller battery life, I opted for a pancake 20mm lens (30mm practical on the APS-C sensor) so that means the images won’t be as sharp as my Canon L Series glass, but it’s a hell of a lot easier to walk around with, so there’s that. There are a few other quirks the camera has that I’m still getting used to, but overall it’s pretty nice.
