A two or so years ago I bought a Leica M6 off Facebook Marketplace, and long story short it’s been issue after issue that wasn’t disclosed by the seller. The most recent issue I’ve been dealing with is scratches on the film that the repair guy said is probably from scratches on the pressure plate. Before I committed to a $1700 service from Leica that’ll take something like 20+ weeks, I tried to clean the plate and run another roll of film through it.
If you haven’t noticed the lines on my previous film posts it’s because I’ve edited them out before posting, but I’ll say it did seem like this most recent roll came out pretty well. Will need to do at least one more test before I’m convinced I don’t need to send it in.
