Had my first hockey portraits earlier this week. To make things more complicated, this guy wasn’t cleared to go on the ice due to some lingering injuries. What I decided to do was finally pull out my lighting gels to make it more interesting.
The Gladiators’ colors are gold , black and crimson so I did what I could to recreate them with what I had. One flash to the left with the gold gel and one to the right with the red. Used the hard light to get the black.
