Went up to Athens this weekend for my old debate society’s 207th anniversary. Demosthenian was founded in 1803 and I’ve shot them randomly and regularly for the past few years while I’ve developed as a photographer (see previous coverage of Demosthenian events by clicking here).
These photos are from the annual impeachment of the President that happens ever year around 2 a..m. the night of the All Night Meeting. The Sergeant-at-Arms is tasked with compiling a list of charges then prosecuting the President while the Judicial Council presides over the impeachment. The President is allowed to appoint someone for their own defense.
It’s pretty loud and gets kind of crazy at times.
