California: Polaroids

When I first got my RB67 the plan was to take it with me to California so I could take polaroids of the coastal scenic highway.  Well, for financial reasons I didn’t end up making that drive but I still had the camera.  I reevaluated the purpose and decided to use it to take pictures of my friends, something I could leave with them after I left.  Here are some of the ones I took.

The beast, as I like to call it, is on the heavier side weighing in at around 6 lbs. It makes it mostly impractical for everyday usage, and the controls aren’t optimized for quick street photography.  Actually, the camera was designed for studio usage.  Because of that I wanted to make sure I actually had photos of everything I wanted on my trip before even pulling it out, because I didn’t want to miss something while I tried to maneuver the contraption.

On my final day in San Francisco I’d planned on bringing it along, but the weather didn’t cooperate so it stayed at home.  That said, I’m still glad I brought it because its still fun to play with.
