Took my drone out to Manhattan Beach today to get some photos. I was looking at air maps of Los Angeles and noticed that Manhattan Beach was one of the few places along the coast where you can fly a drone without having to make a request to the FAA (a process I’m still figuring out how to do). Based on my research, it was also a location where you don’t need to be permitted before you fly (unlike Hermosa Beach to the south).
