This past Saturday shot the Duke vs. Georgia Tech football game. It was the last home game of the season for Georgia Tech and also was a necessary win for the school if they wanted to become bowl eligible. Tech got off to a slow start falling behind 13-6 by halftime, but managed to pull it out winning 30-20. The final score was not indicative of how close the game was though.
One of the things I wanted to try this time was to get a shot of the waving flags after Tech scores a touchdown. Normally I only bring two cameras with me on the field, one with a 70-200mm and the other with my 400mm. This time I brought my fish-eye as well and waited for the opportunity. Unfortunately, due to Tech’s poor performance during the first half, I wasn’t able to get it by halftime. Then, in the third quarter Tech scored it’s first touchdown, off a pick-six so the flags were run on the opposite side of the field. By the time the fourth quarter rolled around, Tech finally manged to get a touchdown on the same side of the field I was on and I got the shot.
