On Saturday I shot the Kansas vs. Georgia Tech football game at Bobby Dodd Stadium for US Presswire. The game was a blowout with Tech setting school records for total yardage and rushing yardage in one game. It got to the point where I wasn’t sure if Kansas had a defensive coordinator because Tech was able to score in one or two play drives several drives in a row.
The main problem with shooting 12:30 pm games is that the light is almost directly overhead. However, one of the nice things is that with as much light as there was I was able to shoot at ISO 200 and 1/5000 sec. Nice bright, punchy colors with completely stopped action. Can’t ask for much more.

Nice shots. Where were you shooting from for the shots that you’re looking down on the field? Interesting angle I haven’t seen before.
From the TV deck in the press box.
In the 4 years I’ve been on Tech’s color guard, this is by far the best picture taken of me. Thank you!
