Last night was Georgia Tech’s matchup against the #4 Virginia Tech Hokies. This was the second time I’ve seen the Hokies lose this season in person, the first being at the Chick-Fil-A kickoff game against Alabama (see here).
I didn’t shoot very well, especially compared to the North Carolina game a few weeks ago (see here). Add that on to the fact that one of my worst nightmares happened where the fans rushed the field, and you can imagine I got pretty flustered by the end of the game. It’s a fear primarily because I’m incredibly paranoid about the safety of my gear, thousands of people rushing at me don’t share that concern.
Considering it was the first time that had ever happened to me in a big stadium, I did what I could to make some shots but I wasn’t really satisfied with them. If it ever happens to me again though, I’ll know how to handle it better.

We are at the games the past two years. Loved it last night! Sharing your photos this morning with Steph (who missed the game due to a wedding last night) brought back great memories. Your pictures are sensational! Keep up the great work.
I love the pictures! How would I go about getting a copy of a couple of these?
Great photos Josh, a superlative job! I don’t know how you did it, but you even made the Tech cheerleaders look good.
Great photos Josh, one heck of a game! Your shot of Nesbitt stiff arming Porch made the Sunday MDJ, great work.
I read that you weren’t satisfied with your pictures when the fans rushed the field but I think that they are amazing, especially the one of the guys jumping the wall in the student section. Thanks for these and all of your great photos of GT!
How do I order a print?
Two years later and still, my favorite GT football photo has to be the one of CPJ here:

Still have my print, thanks for the fantastic photos!
